The ESTIMED Hackathon #1 is scheduled for October 28 to October 30, 2025, bringing together developers, researchers, and innovators to create impactful use cases combining oneM2M IoT standards with ETSI MEC edge computing technologies.
Organized by ESTIMED members, the event aims to accelerate the development of interoperable and scalable IoT-edge solutions.
Enabling innovative use cases that harness the synergy of IoT and Edge Computing
Participants will engage across three challenge tracks:
- Track #1: Propose innovative use cases that address real-world challenges by leveraging oneM2M and MEC capabilities.
- Track #2: Design high-level architectures showing how combining oneM2M and MEC can solve identified problems.
- Track #3: Develop prototype applications using provided oneM2M/MEC configurations, open-source platforms, and hardware resources.
To support participants, the hackathon will provide:
- Educational materials on oneM2M and ETSI MEC standards.
- Access to open-source platforms such as MEC Sandbox, ACME, Mobius, and tinyIoT.
This is a unique opportunity to learn, innovate, and contribute to the advancement of standardized IoT-edge deployments, aligned with the goals of the ESTIMED project.
